Building a smarter tomorrow
Let’s build the app or website you have in mind.
Firmin Systems is a London product studio. We design and build web apps, mobile apps, websites, and the tools your team and your customers will be glad to use. One team, from the first sketch to the week after launch.

Selected work
Recent systems, sites, and apps.
A booking ledger, a field app, a trade shop, a clinic site, a workshop board. The public product and the tool behind it.
Services
Build it, explain it, or replace the workaround.
Start with the job, not a package. Most engagements are one of these, sometimes two.
- 01Web applicationsCustom software in the browser — portals, booking, ordering, and the tools customers log into.
- 02WebsitesMarketing and content sites that explain the offer clearly and stay fast after launch.
- 03Mobile appsiOS and Android apps for customers, and for people who do the work away from a desk.
- 04Product designFlows, interface, and a component set a build can actually use.
- 05Internal systemsThe tools staff open every day — scheduling, stock, approvals, and handoffs.
- 06Launch careAfter go-live: fixes, measurement, and the next slice of the product.
How a project runs
Scope. Shape. Build. Hand over.
01
Scope
A working session, not a 40-page deck. We leave with the job written down: who it is for, what the first release includes, and what it deliberately leaves out.
02
Shape
Flows and interface before a long build. You react to something you can look at, while changing direction is still cheap.
03
Build
A clickable version every week. You can use it, object to it, and watch the scope stay honest.
04
Hand over
Launch, the unglamorous edges, and a short plan for the month after. You can run it without us, or keep us on.
Studio
Plain rules, kept.
01
Scope you can hold
The first release has a price, a list of what is in, and a list of what is not. Change is allowed. It is written down.
02
Something you can click
Weekly builds beat status meetings. If you cannot use it, we are not far enough along to talk about it.
03
The quiet screens count
Admin, empty states, errors, emails, and the export someone needs on a Friday. That is the product too.
04
We stay reachable
You work with the people doing the job. After launch, care is a choice, not a locked-in contract.
Questions
Before you send a brief.
Pricing, timing, takeovers, and who you will actually talk to.
Ask us directlyWhat do you actually build?
Web applications, websites, mobile apps, and internal tools. Sometimes the whole product, sometimes the design while your own engineers build, sometimes a takeover of something that already exists. If the brief is a better fit for a specialist we are not, we will say so.
How do you price the work?
A fixed price for a defined first release. You see the scope in writing before we start. If the brief is still foggy, we begin with a paid scoping week rather than inventing a number. Care after launch is a monthly retainer with an agreed amount of time.
How long does a first version take?
A focused website is often 4–8 weeks. A first release of a web app or internal tool is often 8–16 weeks. A mobile app with a store release is usually toward the longer end. We will tell you if yours is different before you commit.
Can you take over an existing site or app?
Yes. We start by reading what is there and telling you what we would keep, what we would replace, and what we would leave alone. We do not rewrite a working system for the sake of it.
Who will we work with?
A small senior team. The people you meet at the start are the people designing and building. We do not hand the project to a rotating bench once the contract is signed.
Do you only work in London?
The studio is in Clerkenwell. Clients are across the UK, and we work remotely when the work does not need a room. Workshops in person when a whiteboard will save a month of messages.
What do you need from us to start?
A short brief is enough for a first conversation: what the thing is for, who uses it, what exists today, and when you would like a first version. We will ask for the rest.

Have something that needs building?
Send a short brief. We will tell you honestly if we are the right studio, and what a first release would take.
